I don't know if to post my poems in chronological order or if to just post whatever I feel like posting. On the one hand, chronological order is nice because you can see the improvement (assuming there's any) and the transition in style. On the other hand, chronological order would mean suffering through all the early pieces until the supposed good stuff comes along (though most of my later stuff is sappy and cliched... so really, it's more like a bell curve of "good" -_-;).
So far I haven't posted in chronological order but they were all from a general "era", if you will. Maybe I should just stick to that?

If it were me, I'd avoid chronological order. I think you'd eventually get frustrated because of an urge to show your more recent writing (and, probably, more relevant feelings), co-existing with the need to finish what you've started- a complete compilation of all your writing, from earliest to most recent.
ReplyDeletePlus, on an independent note, posting the poems that are relevant to your mood seems far more sensible too. And, if your mood persists, it'd probably encourage you to build upon your own material and improve yourself if you saw your own work right there before you.
Well I wouldn't necessarily say that any of them are really relevant to my moods these days... it really just comes down to whether I think it's good or not. Which is why I was considering chronological order because otherwise the older poems may never get posted. ><
ReplyDeleteBut I see what you mean about getting frustrated. I'll probably just post whatever happens to catch my fancy at the moment. Thanks. :)
No probs, I dunno how coherent I was at the time of posting (stupid call nights ><) so glad to know it made sense! lol
